i’ve got a pain in my heiny

Today we went to spinning class. After my last spinning experience I had hoped to never again ‘spin’ but alas, our sub-trainer decided that we should spend the morning sitting on itty bitty bicycle seats until our bums were numb and our legs were about to fall off.  It wasn’t as bad as the last time but it was still pretty painful.

I’m still plugging away at this weight loss thing but I have to tell you that some days all I want to do is eat a huge bowl of fettachini alfredo with garlic bread and coke followed by a piece of strawberry rhubarb pie with vanilla ice cream.  I actually plan to eat this for my birthday dinner but then I’ll promptly get back on the sensible diet plan because I’ve got a long ways to go and pasta is not going to get me there.

As for the 22+ day period that everyone is concerned about… it’s mostly due to my diabetes prescription and my PCOS.  I’ve spent the better part of 16 years having my reboot 4 or 5 times a year for about 2-3 days at a time.  NOw that I’m fixing things my system is trying to readjust to a more normal schedule.  While I wait for that adjustment I get to endure weeks of period hell.  It’s unpleasant but it’s the way it’s gotta be.

Wow, neglect to look at the blogs for a week and come back to a major life shift. I can identify with the reboot. I had several of those when I was younger. They didn’t have the hormone stuff they do now, so go and get some help.
As for the spinning, you have my utmost sympathy. I hate bicycle seats too. I’d like to put one of those old cast iron tractor seats on a bicycle. You know the ones you see all rusted out in the old farm sheds. Now there is a seat you can spread out on! Lined with that new gel foam it would really lull you into a false sense of security.

    Whew… good to know.
